Nuuk Shuttle is Greenland’s dedicated shuttle and transfer service, founded in 2025 by Nino Fencker and Fabrizio Barzanti – two people with deep roots in Nuuk and a shared frustration with the city’s lack of reliable transport.
Nino is a Greenlander through and through. With a degree in Business Administration and over 20 years of experience in Arctic logistics through his work at Tusass, he brings an unmatched understanding of how Nuuk moves – its roads, its rhythms, and its conditions across every season.
Fabrizio is an Italian musician and studio owner who has called Nuuk home for many years. His extensive travels across Greenland give him a perspective on the country that few outsiders ever develop. Together, they bring more than 25 years of combined Arctic experience to every ride.
Nuuk Shuttle is operated by Tivasa ApS, a locally registered Greenlandic company (CVR #44877503). We are not a seasonal operation or a third-party platform. We are a small, owner-operated business – and when you book with us, Nino or Fabrizio will be your driver.
Why We Started
The idea was straightforward: Nuuk needed a proper shuttle service, and nobody was building one.
The development of Greenland’s new international airport signals a new chapter for the country – more visitors, more connections, more demand. The cruise industry is growing fast, bringing thousands of passengers into Nuuk each season who need reliable, organised transport from the harbour. And yet, for a city receiving this level of attention, the transport infrastructure remained surprisingly thin: limited taxis, no ride-hailing apps, no pre-bookable shuttle service designed around the traveller’s actual needs.
We saw the gap and built Nuuk Shuttle to fill it – starting with airport transfers and expanding into charters, outdoor shuttles, and group transport. The goal has always been the same: get people where they need to go, safely and on time, in one of the world’s most demanding environments.
How We Operate
For now, Nuuk Shuttle is deliberately small and personal. Nino and Fabrizio handle all drives themselves, with the ability to bring in an additional part-time driver when demand requires it. That means every booking is handled by someone with real Arctic driving experience, genuine knowledge of Nuuk’s roads, and a personal commitment to the service we have built.
We drive year-round – through Greenlandic winters with ice, snow, and reduced visibility, and through the bright summer months when the city fills with visitors. Arctic conditions are not something we prepare for once a year. They are simply part of the job.
Between us, we speak Kalaallisut, English, Danish, Italian, and Spanish – so wherever you are travelling from, we can communicate clearly and make you feel at home from the moment you land.
